Description: The Allen-Bradley 1771-OJ output module is a pulse output expander module from the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation PLC 5 series. It comes with a field wiring arm known as the Allen-Bradley 1771-WB field wiring arm. The 1771-OJ pulse output expander module can be used along with a stepper controller module and a field wiring arm to create a complete stepper motor positioning assembly. Up to 3 pulse output expander modules like the 1771-OJ module can be controlled by the same stepper controller module. The 1771-OJ pulse output expander module is designed to be used in 1-axis machine applications.

The 1771-OJ PLC 5 Pulse Output Expander Module by Allen-Bradley is a component of the Stepper Motor Positioning Assembly which provides programmable control of the stepper motor of the programmable controller and provides modular expansion of axes from 1 to 3 axis per I/O chassis. The expander module draws 800mA at 5V DC backplane current and it uses an auxiliary power supply with a power rating of +5-30V DC at 340mA (max) with a peak-to-peak ripple less than the specified value for the stepper translator.
