The MVI56E-MNET is a Modbus TCP/IP communication module developed by ProSoft Technology. It is primarily used for communication between Rockwell Automation’s ControlLogix PACs (Programmable Automation Controllers) and Modbus TCP/IP devices. This module can be easily connected to devices using the Modbus TCP/IP protocol, including Modicon PAC and various instruments and devices.

The MVI56E-MNET module features several enhancements, including local and remote configuration and diagnostics via the module’s EtherNet port, and CIPconnect technology for bridging Rockwell Automation’s ControlNet and EtherNet/IP networks. In addition, the module provides an onboard Web server through which users can access module documentation and sample program files.
