CDP-01 Settings often result in incorrect or unwanted orientation features. The fault and troubleshooting procedure are described in more detail in the chapter “Frequently Setting Errors” in the cdp-01 Reference manual. The following explanation. Fault Diagnosis – Troubleshooting Fault: The sensor moves in an incorrect direction in automatic mode. Remedy: Select “Manual” mode and change the polarity (guiding direction) of driver 3 in edge sensor mode (LED 10 lit). Reference :CDP-01 Reference Manual, section: “Change Direction” Fault: In automatic mode, the mandrel moves in the wrong direction. Remedy: Select “Manual” mode and change the polarity (guiding direction) of driver 2 in special sensor mode (led 11 and 12 on). Reference :CDP-01 Reference Manual, Section: “Changing the Guidance Direction” Fault: In servo-centered mode, the sensor moves in the wrong direction. Remedy: Select “Manual” mode and change the servo center polarity of drive 3. Reference :CDP-01 Reference Manual, Section: “Servo Center Polarity”. Failure: In servo center mode, the mandrel moves to either end of the stroke instead of to the center of its stroke. Remedy: Select “Manual” mode and change the servo center polarity of drive 2. Reference :CDP-01 Reference Manual, Section: “Servo Center Polarity”. Fault: In automatic mode, the mandrel does not accurately follow the sensor. Remedy: Perform the “Start/Sensor Positioner to mandrel ratio Calibration” procedure in this document
