CDIO 16/16-0,5 provides a distributed intelligent transparent automation solution. In addition to its real-time processor technology, this module features 16 digital inputs plus 16 individually configurable digital l/ OS on the board. With small space requirements CDIO 16/16-0,5 is ideal for distributed solutions. Designed for online configuration, this module is simply fixed to a standard track. If a maximum of 6 external modules are required for local expansion, install CDIO 16/16-0,5. The modular Expansion bus (E-Bus) is used for related connections. The control unit is so set up for networking via the can bus that the module provides a full-fledged CANCAL master/slave implementation and – a CANopen master implementation as an IEC 1131 and “C” library.
— Select power supply
The I/O power supply provides connectors through the signal level. I/O can be provided separately in six groups. Each group of I/ o can thus be selectively powered from an external actuator. The signal level is 24VDC.
— Field level connection
Signal levels are factory-configured connector strips for easy wiring. Connect at the front end. Choose any of the three connection techniques:

● Spring lock

1/ o Use 3 bow | lines. Front panel leds provide information about I/O status and operational status modules. Leds are mapped directly to the /O port for instant recognition. Label strips can be inserted to identify each /O channel.
— Standard programming tools
Like all Berghof control products, CDIO 16/16-0,5 refers to personal computers running Windows XP. You will not use your programming software to choose. Depending on your specific requirements, choose IEC 1131-3 compliant SPS programmed in IL, LD, FBD or the high-level language “C”.
