The 1734-ACNR I/O series features modular I/O for flexible and low-cost applications that are key to successful control system design and operation. As a key member of Rockwell Automation’s integrated architecture, its comprehensive diagnostic capabilities and configurable features enable the product to be applied to any automation system and reduce engineering costs through standardized design. It is available in remote device panels, local control panels, and can be accessed from multiple locations, including the Internet. This product is fully adapted to the needs of users, with a density of 1 to 8 points, which can reduce the system cost and size.

Features include channel-level diagnostics for rapid troubleshooting, multiple terminating options and flexibility to save money, cabinet space and debug/troubleshooting time, the ability to mix/match secure I/O on the same bus, and DeviceLogix for local control and fast response. In addition, self-configuration modules are available to reduce/simplify design and inventory.

1734-ACNR I/O has 4 main components:
• The I/O module provides field interfaces and system interface circuits
• Communication interface module provides network interface circuit
• The terminal block unit provides wiring and signal terminating for field side connections and provides system power to the backplane
• Power distribution modules provide scalability for POINT I/O systems and flexibility to mix various signal types

1734-ACNR I/O modules Each module offers 1 to 8 points. The I/O module is connected to the network through a communication interface that includes a built-in power supply that converts input 24V DC power to 5V DC backplane power. Each type of communication interface (network adapter) supports up to 13 to 17 I/O modules, providing a maximum of 10A current. The I/O module obtains power from the midplane. POINT I/O components can be expanded to 63 I/O modules or 504 channels with external power.
